What separates it from the cheaper picks is the sound-processing toolkit reviewers consistently call out — time correction, EQ, and a genuine pre-amp output that one YouTube tester measured for voltage. r/CarAV threads note this is the W650 replacement and treat it as a known-quantity premium option rather than a novelty.
The disagreements are honest ones. A high-trust r/CarAV thread on the sibling iLX-W770 documents Bluetooth-pairing regressions, steering-wheel-control disconnects, and Siri quirks, and that complaint pattern shows up on the W670 too. Reviewers also note CarPlay is wired-only, which is a real gap at the $300 price point.

Installed it and it works great. Only feature I dislike is the Park sensor pauses audio from Android Auto when engaging/disengaging transmission.
Pretty easy install, but it took some figuring out on my end for the speaker connections and then steering wheels controls.
