The consensus on limits is just as clear and reviewers are refreshingly blunt about it. A high-trust r/audiophile commenter notes a less-than-perfect frequency response that benefits from a little EQ, framing them as $99-a-pair speakers rather than hi-fi. Other r/BudgetAudiophile owners describe them as mid-fi at best, with some sources sounding a touch muffled or bass-heavy. As a powered, active pair with built-in amplification, they're an easy plug-and-play option for desktops, TVs and turntables.
The trust-weighted verdict is a value champion: not the most refined speaker here, but the one with the deepest and broadest positive evidence at its price. Buyers wanting the most forgiving entry into real stereo sound, with the option to EQ to taste, get the strongest consensus support.
- 2 x AUX INPUT - Convenient connection to any device that has a 3.5mm headphone output or dual RCA output. Play from two devices via AUX at the same time, no plugging and switching needed
- REMOTE CONTROL - Adjust volume at your figure tips. Bass and treble control located on the side of main speaker
- CLASSIC WOOD FINISH - High quality MDF wood build finished with wood effect vinyl serves as a great compliment to any home decor
- SIDE PANEL CONTROLS - Use the side panel knobs to adjust the volume and fine tune EQ to your liking. The controls are located on the active/powered speaker

To me, they sound great and the bass is adequate enough. The mids and highs also sound great, as well as accurate. I personally have a splitter ...
Less than perfect frequency response, but, c'mon, they're $99 a pair. With a little EQ, they make a good desktop speaker.
