The consensus
What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the Beats Studio Pro lands as the most travel-and-commute-focused pick in this lineup. CNET's review (rated roughly 0.8/1) calls the fourth-gen Studio a meaningful upgrade with effective adaptive ANC that works well across both Apple and Android, while noting the headphones 'could've been even better' — a fair characterization given the price gap to the Sony and Bose flagships. recordingnow.com highlights the 40-hour total battery (around 24 with ANC) as above average for the class, and high-trust Best Buy verified buyers echo that battery and ANC are the standout features.

- Cross-platform: works well with both iPhone and Android
Where it falls short
- CNET flags missing features (wear detection, robust multipoint) at this price
- r/beatsbydre minority reports of scratchy audio and connectivity defects
- Tight clamp can become uncomfortable for some over long sessions
- ANC is good but trails Sony XM6 and Bose QuietComfort in expert testing

The r/beatsbydre community reinforces the travel angle: reviewers there describe the clamp force as tight enough to stay put on planes and at the gym, with one long-thread review preferring the audio profile to the Sony XM5 and AirPods Max. USB-C lossless audio and a 3.5mm jack also come up repeatedly as travel-friendly conveniences absent from some flagships.
Reviewers disagree on comfort and build. A vocal minority on r/beatsbydre — including one strongly negative long thread — report scratchy audio defects, connectivity quirks, and uncomfortable on-ear pressure for larger heads. CNET also notes the Studio Pro is missing features competitors include at this price, like wear detection and proper multipoint.

The fourth generation of Beats' popular Studio headphones have some big changes on the inside that make them very good for both Apple and Android users, but they could've been even better.
The sound quality and battery life hasn't deteriorated at all and they have ALOT of mileage.
The audio profile sounds really good and clear, I prefer it over the XM5's and AirPod Max's for the most part. They sound clear at all volumes ...
