The consensus
What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the JBL Tune 770NC is the consensus pick when long wear time and battery life matter more than absolute ANC depth. PCMag's review highlights serious bass, comfortable fit, long battery, and EQ adjustments, recommending them as a strong mid-budget option. audio46.com calls them versatile enough to exceed expectations at the price.
What reviewers liked
- Up to 70-hour battery life — longest in this roundup
- PCMag and r/headphones both call them comfortable for long wear
- Adaptive ANC and Smart Ambient mode at a sub-$100 price
- Foldable, lightweight, and travel-friendly
- Strong Amazon rating (4.5) corroborated by community reviews
Where it falls short
- Default bass tuning is too heavy for rock/metal per r/JBL
- ANC is noticeably weaker than Sony XM6 or Bose QuietComfort
- No high-trust independent lab measurement available in the data
- Plastic build feels budget compared to flagship rivals
Across the reviewers we read, the JBL Tune 770NC is the consensus pick when long wear time and battery life matter more than absolute ANC depth. PCMag's review highlights serious bass, comfortable fit, long battery, and EQ adjustments, recommending them as a strong mid-budget option. audio46.com calls them versatile enough to exceed expectations at the price. The 70-hour battery claim is the headline spec, and reviewers across r/JBL and r/headphonesindia confirm it largely holds up in real use.
The r/headphones community (high-trust here) describes them as 'super practical, compact, quite comfortable and they do the job well, especially for the price' — comfort being the recurring theme that lifts them above similar budget rivals. The lightweight build and foldable design also score well for commuters.
The disagreements are mostly about sound signature. r/JBL users note the bass is heavy enough that rock and metal can sound muffled out of the box, though EQ in the app reportedly fixes most of it. PCMag echoes that the default tuning leans bass-forward. ANC is described as effective but a clear step below Sony and Bose flagships — adequate for offices and commutes, less so for loud planes.

Overall, I would say they're good headphones. Super practical, compact, quite comfortable and they do the job well, especially for the price.
It's the best (770NC) in same price for other headphones. Bass and Clarity is at very high level. You would think oh 720 will be cool.
