The 7-lb Sportneer set is the lighter-ceiling sibling of the brand's top-rated adjustable line, and reviewers treat it similarly. garagegymreviews.com's high-trust endorsement of Sportneer's adjustable weights applies here, and the model carries its own large verified base — over 11,000 ratings at 4.5 stars across Amazon and Target. That lower, finer range is why it lands as a walking and everyday-movement pick. r/walking members describe getting a genuine workout from modest added load, and a licensed physical therapist's YouTube review highlights its versatility for controlled exercises. The secure straps and neoprene comfort are recurring positives.
Reviewers are candid about limits. High-trust r/Fitness and r/10s threads question loading ankles during walking or running at all, warning about joint and gait effects, so most recommend conservative use. The 7-lb pair ceiling is intentionally modest, and like its sibling it's a mid-priced rather than budget option.

I use them mostly for core work though, they are not as effective for glutes, need heavier weights for that.
Not 100% on the science of ankle weights but I imagine it's not good for your ankles or knees. Seriously though, I would recommend body weight ...
