Across the reviewers we read, the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 is the premium, app-connected flagship of this group. electricteeth.com says it cleans teeth really well with little to complain about, leaving the mouth feeling clean and fresh. techradar.com found it fairly quiet—about as loud as a typical oscillating brush at maximum intensity—and an r/BuyItForLife comparison thread praised Sonicare's quieter operation and 'glass-like' smooth feel versus Oral-B. It pairs with a phone app, offers 12 settings, and ships as a two-pack with a USB charging case.
The honest reservations center on value and durability. At around $199 it's the most expensive pick here, and high-trust reviewers repeatedly note that app connectivity and extra modes don't clean meaningfully better than budget units. More pointed: an r/BuyItForLife thread on declining Sonicare durability reported power-button failures on newer units because the button isn't well sealed. With only ~213 Amazon reviews (4.6 average) it has a thinner data base than our value picks, so its smart-feature appeal is best weighed against that premium and the durability chatter.

I bought my Sonicare in 2012. It has lasted me up until now. I dropped it while brushing in the shower the other day, now it's starting to die.
Sonicare has significantly better battery life (no idea why), is quieter, and seems to leave my teeth just a bit smoother and glass-like than the Oral B seems ...
