What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the Cuisinart Cook Central is the multi-function pick with the best independent backing. techgearlab, a high-trust testing source, liked that the nonstick aluminum pot works across browning, sautéing, slow cooking and steaming, eliminating the need for a separate skillet to sear. Its 4.4 Amazon average across 6,604 reviews and Cuisinart's own customer summaries point to the same headline strength: brown, sauté and slow cook in a single pot.

The disagreement is worth surfacing. One r/slowcooking owner said it works great but is better at slow cooking meats than steaming vegetables, and a separate community thread argues multi-cookers in general do not get hot enough for true slow cooking, recommending a dedicated cooker instead. At roughly $150 it is also among the pricier options. The consensus is that buyers who want a do-more single appliance get the most from it, while purists after low-and-slow simplicity may prefer a basic crock.

I have a Cuisinart 3 in 1 multi cooker. It sears. I prefer to use my Greenpan multi cooker which also sears but doesn't have toxins.
