Across the reviewers we read, the Anova Precision Cooker Pro is the workhorse choice for big containers and continuous use. Owners on r/sousvide describe "tons of power for heating large containers quickly," with one noting it "heats up the water much more" quickly than the first-gen Precision Cooker after upgrading. Another called it "ridiculously quiet... quietest in the 1000W power range." The recurring theme is 1200W of muscle and a motor rated for continuous, weeks-long runs.
That power is also the main trade-off: multiple community members cite size and bulk as the chief downside, and at roughly $199 it's among the priciest non-commercial units here. A 4.5 average across nearly 2,500 Amazon ratings backs the positive consensus, though there's no top-tier independent lab test of this exact model in our data—community discussion repeatedly compares it head-to-head with the Joule and notes the Anova app draws mixed reactions.
For reviewers cooking for crowds or running long, demanding cooks in large vessels, it's the most-cited Anova for the job; casual users will find cheaper, smaller units that meet their needs.

I had the first gen precision cooker and upgraded to the pro, and I love it. better display, and higher power heats up the water much more ...
I've got one and it's awesome. It's got tons of power for heating large containers quickly and keeps good temperature. The main downside is size.
