What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, this Dreo tower fan is the most well-rounded pick in the category. A Best Buy verified-purchase listing (the only high-trust retailer signal in this candidate's data) describes it as easy to set up and reliable in daily use, and that matches the broader pattern from ~17,400 Amazon buyers averaging 4.6 stars. On r/fans, owners repeatedly call out the DC motor's low noise floor and the unusually concentrated airflow for the price; r/BuyItForLife commenters say it pushes meaningfully more air than older Lasko towers they replaced.
What reviewers liked
- Strong consensus across ~17,400 verified-purchase Amazon reviewers at 4.6 stars
- DC motor and low minimum speed earn quiet-operation praise on r/fans
- Best Buy verified-purchase reviewer (high-trust retailer signal) reports straightforward setup and reliable operation
- Nine speeds give meaningful granularity for sleep vs daytime use
Where it falls short
- One r/BuyItForLife comparison thread says newer Levoit towers move more air at top speed
- Remote and display materials feel inexpensive to some r/fans commenters
- Bladeless-style housing still has an internal impeller, so it isn't maintenance-free
- Top speed is audibly louder than the marketing 20 dB figure that brand sources cite

The nine-speed range and 90° oscillation get praise specifically for sleep use, where the lowest setting is quiet enough to fade into the background. Reviewers also note the LED display can be dimmed, which matters in a bedroom. The bladeless-style housing isn't truly bladeless, but the impeller is enclosed and most owners report it stays clean longer than a traditional grille fan.
Disagreement does exist: one r/BuyItForLife thread flagged that newer Levoit towers pushed more air at top speed than the writer's older Dreo, and a few r/fans comments note the remote is plasticky. Neither of those complaints is a dealbreaker given the price-to-performance positioning, which is why this pick lands at the top.

I agree with you, it a powerful, quiet fan! We are greatly enjoying it and plan to buy more in the future. It's the quietest fan we own.
We have the Dreo 513S and it is fantastic. Significantly more air movement than our old Lasko - and can be felt from a farther distance.
