The consensus
What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the Weber Spirit E-435 is the model that delivers measurable searing power in a 4-burner-plus-side-burner package. Amazingribs — a high-trust specialist source — clocked the Boost Burners 'approaching 800°F' and concluded they provide 'ample and satisfying sear power that gets the job done.' That's the kind of measured technical finding the rest of the coverage tends to circle around. Home Depot's aggregated verified-purchase reviewers echo it, citing excellent heat distribution and cooking performance.
What reviewers liked
- Amazingribs (high trust) measured Boost Burners approaching 800°F for real sear capability
- Includes a side burner, which several Spirit and Genesis models in the lineup lack
- High-trust r/grilling thread on the EP-435 reports positive ownership experience
- Home Depot verified-purchase aggregation highlights heat distribution and cooking performance
- Largest Sear Zone in class per retailer listings, corroborated by community reviews
Where it falls short
- Amazon review base is small (86 reviews), so consensus signal is thinner than for older Spirits
- r/grilling cross-shopping thread notes the Napoleon Rogue 425 offers higher overall BTU output
- $779 price puts it well above the standard Spirit lineup
- r/webergrills comparison threads note the EP-435 has cast-iron grates rather than the stainless on the SP-425, a tradeoff some owners dislike

Specialist-community sentiment on r/grilling and r/webergrills is broadly positive. Owners describe the size as well-judged and the build as a clear step up from prior Spirit generations. One r/grilling thread cross-shopping it against the Napoleon Rogue 425 flagged that the Napoleon offers higher overall BTU output — useful context if raw power is your priority — though the Weber's Sear Zone is praised specifically for bold sear marks.
The caveats are price ($779) and a relatively thin Amazon review base (86 reviews at 4.5 stars), meaning the data set is smaller than for older Weber SKUs. But the trust-weighted picture from amazingribs plus high-trust community endorsement makes it the synthesized pick for buyers who specifically want four burners, a side burner and serious sear capability.

The grill is great! I love it. Perfect size and works really well. It wouldn't be easy, but it wouldn't be too hard either.
This Spirit has slightly more primary cooking area than my Genesis and the Genesis was always enough so that's fine.
