What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the WORX WG520 is the default recommendation when shoppers ask for a powerful corded blower without the 3-in-1 complexity. Verified-purchase reviewers on bestbuy.com (a high-trust retailer source in our data) describe it as powerful, lightweight for its output, and easy to control via the two-speed dial, and the aggregate sentiment summary there is overwhelmingly positive. Homedepot.com and walmart.com reviewers echo the same notes about the 600 CFM turbine moving leaves and wet debris faster than older axial designs.
What reviewers liked
- Verified-purchase reviewers across bestbuy.com, homedepot.com and walmart.com consistently praise 600 CFM output as strong enough for wet leaves
- r/Tools commenters say it rivals 2-stroke handheld gas blowers in real-world push
- Two-speed dial and turbine design draw frequent ease-of-use praise from retailer reviewers
- Very high Amazon rating (4.7) over a large sample (~12.5k reviews)
Where it falls short
- r/Tools and r/egopowerplus posters note it pulls ~13 amps and demands a heavy-gauge extension cord
- No vacuum or mulching capability, blower-only
- Cord tether limits range and adds drag on landscaped beds, per retailer reviewers
- Some walmart.com reviewers find the high speed too aggressive near mulch and flower beds

Specialist-community signal is consistent with that. An r/Tools poster who switched from gas calls it strong enough to replace a 2-stroke handheld, and an r/lawncare comparison thread against the Toro F700 treats the WG520 as the higher-CFM option. The recurring caveat across r/Tools and r/egopowerplus threads is that the unit draws close to 13 amps at max speed, so a heavy-gauge extension cord is effectively required for proper performance.
There is no vacuum or mulching mode here, which is the main reason it isn't universally recommended, shoppers who want to bag and shred leaves should look at the Trivac variant. But as a pure blower at this price, the trust-weighted consensus is hard to argue with.
- Turbine Fan Tech
- WORX engineers figured out how to get a jet engine-type motor inside of a leaf blower. Super powerful, yet not so loud that you’ll think it’s getting ready for takeoff.
- Twice As Fast As Pro Blowers
- Professional-grade gas blowers rely on outdated tech. The Turbine is cutting edge, and spins twice as fast as the blowers used by commercial grounds crews.
- 2 Speeds For Different Jobs
- Go slow for pavement or tight corners. On the open lawn, switch to speed 2 and see what the 110 mph Turbine can do.
- 600 Cfm
- We named the Turbine 600 after the 600 cubic feet per minute of high-capacity air volume that shoots out of its wide-mouth nozzle. That’s a wide, strong path of air that allows you to clear large areas with fewer passes.
- Highlight 5
- DO IT YOURSELF. DO IT BETTER. DO IT WITH WORX: WORX tools are engineered with cutting-edge technology, and above modern efficiency standards, so you can build a cost-effective tool collection that’s been designed to last.
- Hyper-Stream Air Nozzle
- We didn’t just stop designing once we were finished with the Turbine engine. We added an attachable nozzle, optimized to direct all that volume in a concentrated area for tougher jobs.
- One-Handed Operation
- All the power and only 6.5 lbs. The Turbine 600 is designed to be controlled with just one hand. The ergonomic design funnels the wind in a way that’s easy to handle.
- 2-Pin Power Plug & Cord Retainer
- This electrical blower has a 2-pin plug compatible with an extension cord for extended reach, extension cord is sold separately. The attached cord retainer prevents disconnection if snagged.

Only downside is you need a heavy cord to run it because it draws 13 amps and max speed. Done mixing gas and cleaning out carbs tho!
Feels slightly lighter than my 2-stroke handheld blower. A little quieter and much stronger too.
