The critical counterweight comes from high-trust gardening sources. r/gardening threads are emphatic that the pyrethroid active ingredient is "indiscriminately toxic to all insects," killing bees, fireflies, and other beneficials, and a Facebook group cited in the signals warns of a strong odor and the need for caution. lowes.com reviewers add that results diminish over time and that the hose-end sprayer can be hit or miss. The honest synthesis: effective at reducing mosquitoes but with real environmental trade-offs that high-trust reviewers want shoppers to weigh before spraying.
- Kills Fast
- Kills mosquitoes, listed ant types, fleas and other listed insects
- Quickflip Hose-End Sprayer
- Hose-end-sprayer activates spray at the flip of a switch – just grip, flip and go
- Lasts All Summer
- Controls up to 12 weeks against house crickets, carpenter ants, harvester ants, lady beetles and earwigs
- Coverage
- 1 bottle treats up to 5,000 square feet of lawn
- No Mixing Required
- Attach the sprayer to a garden hose to treat your lawn, landscape and outdoor surfaces where insects hide
Works great and completely safe for dogs. Took care of the problem pretty dang good! I've been using it for several years love it.
It wont do anything to plants. It will kill insects indiscriminately in the area. Bad ones as well as beneficial (bees) and neutral ones (fireflys).
