The honest knocks are well documented in high-trust threads. r/Traeger and r/pelletgrills owners report the Pro 780 does not generate much smoke and lacks Super Smoke mode, so a smoke tube is recommended for long cooks, and one r/pelletgrills owner switched to a larger-hopper grill after running out of fuel mid-cook on the 780's roughly 18 lb hopper.
The trust mix, a solid retailer sample plus high-trust community endorsement of convenience, supports the WiFi pick, while the smoke and hopper caveats keep it mid-pack rather than near the top.

The 780 doesn't generate a ton of smoke and it doesn't have "super smoke". When doing long low and slow cooks I had to use a smoke tube. The ...
I bought one. It gets the job done. Hopper only holds 18 lbs. I got a Recteq 1100 2 weeks later after running out of fuel mid cook one day.
