Are app-connected air purifiers worth the extra cost over manual models?

For most buyers the app is a nice-to-have rather than a must-have. The reviewers we read consistently value scheduling, remote on/off, and air-quality history graphs, but specialist-community threads on r/AirPurifiers repeatedly point out that CADR (clean-air delivery rate) and filter quality matter far more than connectivity. If two models are close on price and performance, smart features are a reasonable tiebreaker; they're rarely worth a large premium on their own.
