Are glass or PVC reptile enclosures better?

Reviewers we read split on this. Glass terrariums offer better visibility and a lower entry price but lose humidity through screen tops, which r/snakes and r/ballpython threads repeatedly flag for tropical species. PVC enclosures hold humidity and heat far better and are lighter, but cost meaningfully more.
