Box beam vs. I-beam: which is better?

Box beams are stiffer, more durable, and the consensus pick across the trade-community threads we read for serious or professional use. I-beams are lighter and cheaper but more prone to flex and damage. For a level you plan to keep for 10+ years, box beam is the safer choice.
