Can I apply paste wax in direct sunlight?

Most traditional carnauba pastes are not recommended for hot panels or direct sun, since they flash too quickly and become hard to buff. Newer synthetic formulas, including Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, are explicitly marketed and reviewed as sun-safe. When in doubt, work one panel at a time in shade.
