Can I plug holiday string lights into any outdoor smart plug?

Standard on/off plugs handle string lights fine as long as you stay under the amp rating (commonly 15A/1875W). If you want to dim or fade string lights, you need a dimming model such as the Treatlife outdoor dimmer plug, regular smart plugs only switch power on and off.
