Cast iron vs. competition (steel) kettlebells, which is better?
Reviewer consensus
Cast iron bells grow in size as the weight increases and typically have wider handles, which most reviewers prefer for two-handed swings. Competition bells are uniform in size at every weight with a thinner 33–35 mm handle, which matters for sport-style snatches and for skill transfer between weights. For general home training, cast iron is the more forgiving default.
