Coaxial or component speakers — which should I buy?
Reviewer consensus
Coaxial (full-range) speakers combine the woofer and tweeter in one frame and drop straight into factory speaker locations, making them the easiest upgrade. Component sets separate the tweeter and woofer for more precise imaging and a more 'hi-fi' soundstage, but they require crossovers and usually tweeter mounting work. If you want the simplest install, choose a coaxial like the JBL GTO939 or KICKER DSC650; if you want maximum sound quality and are willing to install, look at the JBL GTO609C or Focal ASE165.
