Do hair oils actually protect against heat styling?

Some are explicitly formulated as heat protectants—Olaplex N°.7, OUAI Hair Oil, and Gisou's honey oil all market heat-protection claims. Plain cold-pressed argan oils like Cliganic generally do not advertise verified heat protection. If you blow-dry or flat-iron regularly, look for a product that specifically lists heat protection rather than assuming any oil will shield your strands.
