Do I need a brushless impact driver?

For most DIYers, a brushed model like the Craftsman CMCF800 is fine. Brushless models run longer per charge, run cooler, last longer under heavy duty cycles, and usually have more torque and variable speed modes. If you're using it daily or driving a lot of long fasteners, brushless is worth the premium.
