Do I need a portable folding workbench or a stationary one?

If you do jobsite work, rent, or have a shared garage, a folding workbench (Workmate-style or quick-deploy) earns its keep by storing flat against a wall. If the bench will live in one spot and host a vise, grinder, or pegboard wall, a stationary bench with storage underneath is the better long-term buy.
