Do I need a thermal label printer or a tape label maker?

They solve different problems. Thermal 4x6 printers (Rollo, Phomemo, Nelko, Westinghouse) print adhesive shipping labels for USPS/UPS/Etsy/Shopify orders and use no ink. Tape label makers (Brother P-Touch, DYMO LabelManager) print short laminated labels for organizing cables, bins, files, and kitchen storage. If you're shipping packages, get a thermal. If you're labeling shelves, get a tape model.
