Do wasp traps actually work?
Reviewer consensus
The consensus across r/exterminators, r/fuckwasps, and r/Edmonton threads is that bait-and-attractant traps reliably catch large numbers of yellow jackets and some wasp species, but they're a population-reduction tool, not a nest exterminator. Sticky-style traps like RESCUE's TrapStik are more often praised for catching paper wasps and carpenter bees near eaves. If the nest is on your property, traps alone usually won't solve the problem.
