For typical consumer use (gaming, OS drive, general storage), the difference is small thanks to Host Memory Buffer support. Reviewers consistently flag DRAM-less QLC drives as weaker for sustained heavy writes — large file transfers can drop to HDD-like speeds once the SLC cache fills. For video editing or other heavy-write workloads, a TLC drive with DRAM is the safer pick.
