For three-season car camping, look for a sealed rainfly and a hydrostatic-head rating; one candidate here advertises a 3000mm waterproof rating. Keep in mind that seam quality, fly coverage, and a groundsheet matter as much as the headline number, and that we did not have independent water-resistance lab data for these specific tents.
