Is 16GB of RAM enough for a gaming PC in 2025?

Mainstream reviewers and community posters say 16GB still runs current games fine, but many of the same threads recommend 32GB for headroom, multitasking and streaming. Several build communities point out RAM is cheap and trivially easy to add yourself, so a 16GB machine at the right price is not a dealbreaker for most buyers.
