Is 4K resolution worth it on an outdoor security camera?

High-trust reviewers are mixed. 4K helps with digital zoom and identifying faces or license plates, but security.org flagged that some 4K cameras (including the Arlo Ultra) require a paid plan to actually record at full resolution to the cloud. For most yards, a well-implemented 2K camera with good night vision will out-perform a poorly-implemented 4K one.
