Tools · Cordless Circular Saws
Is a 6-1/2" cordless circular saw enough, or do I need a 7-1/4"?
Reviewer consensus
For breaking down sheet goods, cutting 2x lumber at 90°, and general DIY, a 6-1/2" brushless saw is plenty and is meaningfully lighter. The catch reviewers consistently raise: most 6-1/2" saws cannot cut through 2x material at a 45° bevel in a single pass. If you frame regularly or cut bevels in dimensional lumber, step up to a 7-1/4".
