Is a traditional mask-and-snorkel set better than a full-face mask?
Reviewer consensus
For most users the reviewers we read recommend traditional sets. They cost less to get a quality version (Cressi, Oceanic, SEAC, Mares), are safer for any kind of duck-diving, fit a much wider range of faces, and are what dive shops and r/snorkeling regulars overwhelmingly endorse. Full-face masks remain popular for first-timers and surface-only floating because breathing through the nose feels more natural.
