Is the Wilson Evolution really worth $100?

For indoor league play and serious shooters, the trust-weighted consensus says yes — multiple high-trust r/Basketball threads describe it as the standard-issue ball for high school and rec leagues. But there's a vocal minority in those same threads arguing it's too soft, too light, and overrated outside of catch-and-shoot drills. If you mostly play outdoors or want a more traditional feel, the money is better spent elsewhere.
