What size hybrid bike do I need?

Most manufacturers publish a height-to-frame-size chart, and getting the right frame size matters more than any spec on the bike. Riders shorter than about 5'4" often find step-through frames easier to mount; very tall riders should look for 28-inch or XL frames specifically called out as accommodating 6'2"+ heights.
