What size monthly planner should I get?

The 8.5" x 11" letter size is the most common here and gives generous writing room per day, but it's bulkier to carry. If portability matters, the 7" x 8.5" to 7" x 10" medium options are easier to slip into a bag at the cost of smaller daily blocks.
