Why do some listings have thousands of reviews and others only a couple dozen?

Newer model-year listings and recently relisted SKUs often show low review counts even from established brands. A pool with 25 reviews at 4.9 stars carries far less statistical weight than one with thousands of reviews, which is why we ranked higher-volume listings more confidently.
