Why do some shower mirrors have thousands more reviews than others?

Review count reflects how long a product has been sold and how heavily it is promoted, not just quality. In this category several long-running models have tens of thousands of ratings, which gives a more stable picture of typical performance than a newer model with a few hundred reviews, even when the newer one shows a higher star average.
