Why does a top-rated bench sometimes have very few reviews?

Several strong picks here, including verified-publisher favorites, have thin Amazon review counts because they're newer listings or sold mainly through other retailers. We weight independent and verified-publisher testing and cross-retailer reviews more heavily than a single Amazon star average, since low-volume ratings are noisy and Amazon averages are gameable.
