The consensus
What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the ZELUS dual-grip ball fills the handled-medicine-ball niche, with anti-skid textured grips that retailer and instructional sources (including hamptonfit.com) say work well for front-loaded squats, split squats and lunges. It posts a strong 4.8 average, though on a more modest base of roughly 760 ratings than the category leaders. Broader r/Fitness and r/homegym med-ball threads we read affirm that for slow, controlled strength and core work a handled ball is a sensible buy.
What reviewers liked
- Dual anti-skid grips suit lunges, squats and controlled core work
- Strong 4.8 average rating
- Available in 10 and 20 lb options
- Handles improve control for slow rotational and overhead moves
Where it falls short
- Far smaller review base (~760) than the top picks, so the signal is thinner
- No high-trust independent test of this ball appears in the signals
- Handled design is not meant for slamming or wall throws
- Pricier than plain weighted balls

I'm looking at buying a medicine ball and a yoga mat and exercising from home. Are more expensive medicine balls really better? or am I safe with a cheaper one?
I love the aesthetics of medicine balls but I'd probably pick kettle bells. I use them both about the same amount, I'd say about twice per week.
