What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the NordicTrack RW700 is the pick for people who want a large interactive touchscreen rather than a bare-bones monitor. High-trust coverage at barbend.com highlights its 10-inch tilt-and-pivot HD touchscreen and access to off-rower workouts, and garagegymreviews.com lists iFIT programming, a smooth drag mechanism and 26 levels of adjustable resistance among its pros. An r/Rowing owner also called the build 'top notch' with a comfortable seat and a readable console.

The disagreement is significant and worth surfacing. High-trust community threads are far more negative: r/Rowing has a blunt 'don't buy one' post citing many small failures and difficulty using the machine without iFIT, while r/nordictrack documents a unit whose resistance wouldn't change even after a technician visit. Multiple rowers also repeat the refrain that serious rowers default to a Concept2.
The trust-weighted verdict is a split decision: strong on interactive features and screen experience, weak on reliability and subscription lock-in. It earns a place for screen-focused buyers but with clear eyes about the durability complaints.

TLDR Dont buy one. Lots of little things have broken. On top of that they make it almost impossible to use without ifit.
