Across the reviewers we read, the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 27 is positioned as a premium, high-stack cushioned daily trainer built for comfort over distance. The high-trust review at believeintherun describes it as soft but with some road feel, especially in the forefoot, and relatively smooth transitions despite weighing on the heavier side. The disagreements are real and consistent with a max-cushion shoe. Among the wider reviewer set, the ultra-thick midsole was described as stable and shock-absorbing but bottom-heavy with firmer foam that won't please everyone. A medium-tier r/AskRunningShoeGeeks owner reported numb feet and toes within a mile or two even after loosening the laces, a fit issue worth taking seriously. A separate high-trust r/RunningShoeGeeks comment about an earlier Nimbus noted it was a fantastic walking and office shoe but went 'flat' beyond a few miles, a reminder that plushness and long-run propulsion aren't the same thing.
Weighing the high-trust praise for plush comfort against the weight and fit caveats, the Nimbus 27 lands as a cushioned long-run and easy-day shoe rather than a fast one, which is the role it earns here.
I quite enjoyed the ride and it was very smooth with nice comfortable cushion. It was soft but not squishy, the FF Blast+ Eco had some nice ...
They've hurt my feet from the very beginning. Within a mile or two in, my feet and/or toes are numb. Tried not lacing them as tightly and have the some issues.
