What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the SKILSAW SPT67WL-01 sidewinder is positioned as the lightest-in-class option, with a resin housing and magnesium guard and footplate bringing it to roughly 8.6 lbs. The high-trust outlet protoolreviews.com scored it 9.2 out of 10, calling it 'an excellent saw and a great return to the pro market.' On r/woodworking a high-trust commenter describes SKILSAW sidewinders as 'damn good saws' with rock-solid construction and plates that stay put. Cut-line visibility is repeatedly praised, though the manufacturer's own listing concedes the plate-adjustment lock lever can be awkward to grasp.

Where it falls short

- Resin housing may not match all-metal saws for jobsite abuse perceptions

- Lightest weight professional circular saw in its class at 8.6 pound
- 56 degree bevel with positive stop at 45 degree allows you to complete a variety of cuts
- 15 Amp motor ensures power for demanding cuts
- Dual-Field motor dissipates heat, allowing the motor to stay cool and last longer
- 10 foot cord minimizes hanging on sheet materials
Right now I'm considering: Skil sidewinder SPT67WL-01 @ $99. magnesium body but reviews are hit or miss. Dewalt lightweight DWE575SB @ $114 seems like my best ...
Damn good saws. Rock solid construction. Plenty of power. Plates/adjustments stay where you put em. Price is fair for the quality of the tool.
