What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the 3M 65021 with its combination OV cartridge and P100 filter is the go-to for paint and solvent fumes plus fine particulates. r/airbrush commenters single out the stacked organic-vapor-plus-P100 configuration as the best choice for enamels and solvent-based work, and r/woodworking (high-trust) users praise 3M P100 half-masks as low-profile and easy to breathe through. Home Depot verified-purchase reviewers report using it for grinding metal and spray painting with easy breathing and good dust blocking.

- Combination OV/P100 cartridge handles both organic vapors and 99.97% of particulates, per listing and r/airbrush
- Low-profile, easy-breathing design praised by r/woodworking
- Verified-purchase reviewers report success spray painting and grinding

Where it falls short

- Cartridges add ongoing replacement cost
- Smaller review base than 3M's mainstream half-masks

P is for oil protection and the 100 refers to capturing at least 99.97% of hard to capture particles under challenging conditions consistently.
It fits well and is pretty damn comfortable. It is just every so slightly small the material is extremely comfortable
