What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the DEWALT TSTAK is the volume leader here, carrying a 4.8 rating across more than 12,000 verified-purchase reviews. On r/Dewalt, owners say the boxes stack neatly and work well for separating supplies and tools per job, and an r/Tools thread describes the format as ideal for someone who frequently does jobs away from home rather than parking everything in a big chest. At its price, it functions as an accessible entry into a stackable storage system.
What reviewers liked
- Enormous verified-purchase base (4.8 across 12,000+ reviews)
- Recognized DEWALT brand with a wide compatible stacking ecosystem
- Community confirms it's practical for job-to-job tool separation
- Low price point makes it the easiest entry into modular storage
Where it falls short
- r/Dewalt owners flag inconsistent, sometimes 'cheap' build quality
- Reports of broken tabs/latches on arrival
- Stacks can wobble when box sizes are mismatched
- It's a stacking tote, not a drawer tool chest

The disagreement is real and worth surfacing: other r/Dewalt commenters call the build quality 'cheap to meh,' with one returning a unit that arrived with a broken bottom tab, and broader DEWALT stacking discussions note wobble when boxes are mismatched in the stack. So while the star average is extremely high, the highest-trust community voices are more measured than the rating implies.
No independent testing lab appears in the supplied signals, so the score rests on a very large verified rating base plus mixed-but-mostly-positive community sentiment. Treat it as the best low-cost entry point, not a heavy-duty drawer chest.
- Flexible Platform allows different combinations
- All units can stack one on top of the other and connected with durable side latches
- Built in bi-material handle for easy and stable portability
- Removable tray for quick access to tools that are most used
- Extra Large Volume for high tools storage
Love them. They stack nice and I use them to seperate supplies and tools for jobs. I have a ton of them and a lot of the tough system too.
It's just boxes on wheels. POA to load and unload. Also. It wobbles, especially if you put the small box in the middle and the medium box on top.
