What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, the Dell S2725QS lands as the most well-rounded 4K monitor at its price. RTINGS calls it 'very good for editing,' noting an accurate sRGB mode that only needs minor tuning, and Wired highlights the sharp 4K panel, 120Hz refresh rate, and surprisingly clear integrated speakers. The forum.pcmonitors.info review frames it as 'aggressively priced' for productivity-plus-light-gaming, which matches the consensus on r/Monitors and r/buildapcsales.
What reviewers liked
- RTINGS rates the sRGB mode highly accurate out of the box, useful for photo and editing work
- Wired and r/Monitors both highlight 4K at 120Hz as a noticeable everyday upgrade over 60Hz panels
- Integrated speakers are described as 'surprisingly clear' by Wired — uncommon at this tier
- Consistent 4.5-star Amazon rating across hundreds of verified reviews
Where it falls short
- r/buildapcsales users note the 4ms response time is noticeable in fast FPS games versus dedicated gaming panels
- No USB-C on the QS variant — buyers wanting one-cable laptop docking need the S2725QC
- 1500:1 contrast ratio is typical IPS, so blacks will look grayer than VA or OLED alternatives
- HDR support is limited; reviewers treat this as an SDR-first display

Where reviewers push back is on motion. r/buildapcsales commenters note the ~4ms response time is noticeable next to dedicated 1ms gaming monitors, and the PCMonitors forum agrees this isn't a true gaming display. Several Reddit posters also point out the S2725QS lacks USB-C — that's the QC variant — which is worth verifying before purchase if one-cable docking matters.
Net of the disagreement, the high-trust signal from RTINGS plus Wired's positive verdict and consistent retailer ratings (4.5 stars across ~790 reviews) make this the safest all-around pick in the pool.

I want something that is good for eye comfort, 4k and at least 120hz. Plus for me is at least 99% RGB colour accuracy as I am a bit of a photographer.
It's not a gaming monitor. It's a very nice office monitor. 120hz is very nice for general desktop usage.
