It's definitely worth considering. $600 for the 5.5qt Kitchen Aid is pretty pricey and I'm on the fenxe. I am surprised kitchen aid has a 1 year warranty.
Cuisinart is a great and reliable brand for kitchen items! If you've never really baked before, you can always just get a hand mixer as a smaller investment.
