What reviewers found
Synthesized across the trust-weighted source mix below.
Across the reviewers we read, Zoo Med's 25W Nano ceramic emitter is the go-to recommendation for nano and small terrariums where a 100W bulb would cook the occupant. Pangea and PetSmart product listings and verified-purchase reviewers describe it raising ambient temperatures in smaller enclosures without emitting light, and r/CrestedGecko threads give specific guidance, noting the 25W suits enclosures around 70-72F while colder rooms may need the 40W or higher version. It requires a compatible nano fixture, a point multiple commenters raise.
What reviewers liked
- Low 25W output ideal for small enclosures and crested geckos per r/CrestedGecko
- Established Zoo Med brand with corroborating PetSmart and Walmart reviews
- Emits no light, safe for nighttime use
- Strong 4.6 average across retailers
Where it falls short
- Requires a specific nano-sized fixture, not standard dome compatible
- Underpowered for anything larger than a small terrarium
- Lower review volume (305) than the high-wattage bulbs
- Pricey per watt compared with generic emitters

- 24-hour heat
- Lasts up to 5 years
- Emits no light
If your temps are 70-72, zoomed nano 25 watt is fine. 65-70 the nano 40 watt would probably be better. Under 65 you may need 60 or even 75 ...
The 100w is definitely going to be too much. The nano needs a specific fixture. There's a 50w that would probably suit your needs, yeah?
