Do I need 220V or is 110V enough?
Reviewer consensus
For sheet metal, automotive panels, and light fabrication up to roughly 1/4 inch, the 110V machines in this list are widely reported as adequate by buyers. If you plan to weld thicker steel regularly or want higher duty cycles, the dual-voltage 110V/220V multiprocess units (such as the ARCCAPTAIN 200A or YESWELDER 205A) or a professional 220V Miller give noticeably more headroom.
