Do I need an XLR interface for podcasting, or is USB/wireless enough?

For most solo and casual creators, reviewers agree a USB or wireless mic is plenty: the Shure MV7+ and MAONO PD200W both offer USB plus onboard processing so you can skip an interface. Step up to XLR (as with the Shure SM7B) only if you want to build a more serious chain, and note that the SM7B is frequently cited as needing a strong preamp or inline lifter to reach proper levels.
