How reliable are the Amazon ratings for band saws?

Star averages are a useful signal, especially when backed by hundreds or thousands of reviews, but they are gameable and don't substitute for independent testing. For these listings in particular there's little expert or specialist-community corroboration, so a high average on a low review count should be treated cautiously.
