What is a bleed valve and do I need one?

A bleed valve lets you release small amounts of air to fine-tune pressure without fully removing the gauge from the valve stem. It's most useful for people who frequently adjust pressures, such as off-roaders airing down and back up. For routine car checks it's a convenience rather than a necessity.
